MANSUDAE

Mansudae is the name of the most famous and unavoidable spot in Pyongyang. It is compulsory to go there just after arriving in the city, or the next day at the latest. The sport consists essentially in a 20 meter high huge bronze Statue of Kim Il Sung. It is compulsory when arriving there to lay flowers at the bottom of the Statue, to step back, and then to bow respectfully before the Statue. Only after showing respect to the Great Leader, it is possible to take pictures. Any breach of this procedure will be definitely reported. Behind the giant statue is the Revolution Museum, and on each side, two huge war sculptures close the perspecive.
