Juche (pronounced djoutche) is the official ideology in North Korea, and is a kind of avatar of communism. Juche mainly consists in the principle of national independence in terms of economy, politics and defense. The Juche Tower, a kind of giant obelisk with a red and shining flame at the top was built in the late 70's. All Juche associations worldwide, as well as many Kim Il Sung fans, offered congratulations plaques, about 150 of them being displayed at the entry of the Tower.
