TIANANMEN SQUARE IN BEIJING
In the heart of Beijing, Tiananmen is the largest square
in the world. It is surrounded by the Forbidden City on northern side, the
Parliament on western side, museums on eastern side, and Qianmen Gate and
the old city on southern side. In the center is Mao Zedong mausoleum and body,
as well as some other revolutionary monuments. Every morning, a ceremony is
held for the flag rising, and another one is held every evening. The rest
of the day, Tiananmen Square is crowded with visitors and kite players.
