Shaoshan is the village where Mao Zedong was born, and became during the Cultural Revolution a real pilgrimage center for millions of visitors. After the death of Chairman Mao, the village felt asleep during several years before it attracts again a new kind of visitors: turists. Shaoshan has become a real Maoland, entertainment park organized around Mao and his world. It is the place to go if you are interested in collecting maoist items.
