PESHAWAR
Peshawar, capital city of pakistani northwestern province
is located near the afghan border and shares the same pashto population with
this country. Peshawar has a very strong personality and stressful atmosphere.
The old city's architecture is very beautiful and it is a pleasure to get
lost in its small streets. Peshawar is definitely a city for men, and the
few women on the streets bear a strict burka. South to Peshawar is the village
of Dara Adam Khel, in the tribal areas, out of governmental control. This
village is famous for being the biggest regional center for weapon manufacturing
and sale, since the beginning of the Afghanistan war.
