LUOYANG
Former capital city of the Chinese Empire, Luoyang keeps very few remainings
of its great History. The main purpose of visiting Luoyang is not in the
city itself. First, it is Longmen buddhist caves, in which many impressive
buddha statutes were designed, some of them having a huge size. Second, it
is Shaolin village, well-known to be the world capital of martial arts. However,
nowadays it attracts so many turists it becomes more and more difficult to
find a monk or a kungfu master inside the crowd.
