KAIFENG
Kaifeng is not far from the Yellow River and used to
be the capital of Chinese Empire. Nowadays it is a middle size city which
main characteristic is to be one of the only Chinese cities preserved from
modernisation. Most of the traditional houses still exist and walking in
Kaifeng streets makes feeling like one century ago. Kaifeng also used to
be, and is still, a major religious center for several cultures, as proved
by the important muslim minority, and the many buddhist and taoist temples
in the city.
